Part Two: Designing with Purpose – Sustainability and Creativity in Kenya

Blooming Innovations – A Sea of Delphinium

Next, we visited Blooming Innovations in Gilgil. Their primary crops are delphinium, hydrangea, and limonium — all grown across 40 hectares of greenhouse space. The scale was breathtaking: acres of vibrant blue delphinium and lush hydrangea stretching in every direction.

Blooming Innovations

As at Interplant, we designed with farm-grown blooms to reflect themes from the EMC Trends Report. The location was picturesque, the product was exceptional, and the designs came together beautifully — inspired by the flowers and the people around me.
